2-EHN SIBERIA® – an easy way to increase your cetane number
High-quality diesel fuel is an ecologically benign and safe resource that provides optimal engine and equipment performance. It is mostly used by the freight transportation, railway, water, and agricultural sectors. Despite this, diesel has recently gained popularity among average vehicle fans. Russia produces twice as much (approximately 78 million tons per year) as it requires, hence half of the tonnage is exported.
The cetane number, or flammability, is the primary indication of high-quality diesel fuel. According to Russian and most European norms, it should be at 51. The signal is either higher or lower, indicating that the engine is unreliable. On average, Russian petrol has a cetane number of 45-48. To alter the indicators and enhance the quality of diesel fuel, additives such as cetane-increasing, depressant-dispersing, lubricating, and others are commonly used. Cetane-boosting chemicals should be avoided at all costs.
They are so widespread due to their favorable effect on diesel fuel and the car as a whole: successful engine start-up at low temperatures, greater environmental friendliness (emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere is significantly reduced) and quiet operation compared to operating on fuel with a lower cetane index...
There is a plethora of cetane-enhancing chemicals available all over the world, but do they all perform a good job? Unfortunately, some manufacturers just alter their identities after purchasing samples from someplace and passing them off as their own manufacturing. After receiving them, oil refinery technologists devote a significant amount of time to testing, selection, and product introduction. It is far better and more convenient if validated and filtered information is immediately available.
There aren't many firms on the market now that are tackling this issue. One of them is the dandelion firm, which has qualified people, the appropriate equipment, and a library for selecting diesel additives in its arsenal. Based on the job, a forecast is created, and upon delivery of the samples, the exact doses are calculated, laboratory tests are performed, and the completed product is sent to the client. The technician saves time by not having to conduct the selection himself
By the way, a component of a foreign addition does not always perform completely. Based on previous experience, it is vital to develop a blend of components and observe how they compliment one another. You can call yourself a manufacturer if you have such recipes.
The cetane enhancing additive 2-EHN SIBERIA® 99.5 percent backs up these claims. The cetane number climbs from 48 to 57.8 when 0.6 percent of the additive is added to diesel fuel.
Its appeal stems from a variety of benefits:
SIBERIA® is interchangeable with foreign additives;- used in a package with antiwear and depressant-dispersant additives with full
- preservation of diesel fuel characteristics, including long-term storage;
- diesel fuel additive tests revealed that SIBERIA® is not inferior in quality to foreign analogues.
There are three main areas of use of 2-EHN SIBERIA®:
- middle distillates with a narrow fractional composition and distillation temperature indicators: DТ (90–20%) from 70 to 100 ° С; DТ (end boiling - 90%) from 17 to 25 ° С;
- wide fractions of distillates with a DТ value (90–20%) from 100 to 120 ° С and a boiling point below 380 ° С (distillation by the ASTM D86 method);
- high-boiling distillates with a boiling point above 380 ° C.
The use of the SIBERIA® additive makes it simpler to enhance the cetane number, minimize dangerous substance emissions into the atmosphere, and completely comply with contemporary diesel fuel regulations.
